Who I am

I've always been a picky eater. Always. Even when I was a baby, I was a little brat who would scrunch up her nose, tighten her lips, and twist her neck to avoid the disgusting spoon that some rude person was trying poke in her face. I never liked eating. It was a chore, something I had to do: eat or die. Grumbling, I'd choose eat.

Going to potlucks or parties was the worse. Hot dogs or hamburgers? Yuck no, thank you. Potato salad? Double yuck. Now, don't hate me for disliking your favorite foods, it's nothing personal, like I said, I'm picky. And I'm alive today by God's grace, let me tell you. How a kid can live off of chips and cookies is a mystery to me. How that same kid can be active and wild at the same time she's getting no nutritional value is even more mysterious. Have I learned my lesson? Let's just say . . . okay, I can't think of anything to say. The answer is no. I still haven't learned my lesson. I still don't eat any of that stuff. . . But that's about to change.
You see, in order for me to be a good food writer, I have to get over my fear of food. And this is how I plan on doing it, by challenging myself and writing a blog about it.
Fellow picky eaters, it is possible to eat that. *shudder* And I'm going to be the one to prove it. How hard could it be, right?

I'll just need a clean napkin,
